Turning Point– It's Always Darkest...Before The Dawn (Tape)

Turning Point– It's Always Darkest...Before The Dawn (Cassette)

Description:

Turning Point were a straight-edge hardcore band from Moorestown, New Jersey, whose sole full-length album was originally released in 1990 on New Age Records. This cassette edition faithfully captures the band’s transition from Youth Crew–inspired hardcore to a more melodic, emotionally resonant sound that prefigured the emergence of emocore. The production remains raw and urgent, with tightly wound riffs and impassioned vocals driving the intensity.

Standout tracks include “Before The Dawn,” a whirlwind opener packed with shifting riffs and raw energy, and “Shadow Of Lies,” which slows the tempo and adds a brooding, melodic depth. The album balances breakneck hardcore momentum with introspective lyrical themes, especially on tracks like “Life Goes On” and “Prophecy,” where emotion bleeds through the aggressive delivery.

A great addition for fans of Minor Threat, Agnostic Front, Sick of It All, Madball
