Scream – Still Screaming
Released in 1983, “Still Screaming” was the debut full-length album from Virginia hardcore pioneers Scream and the first full-length album ever released by Dischord Records. Recorded at Inner Ear Studio with Ian MacKaye and Eddie Janney, the album captures the band's unique blend of hardcore punk energy, rock and roll influences, and socially conscious songwriting. While heavily influenced by the explosive DC hardcore scene, Scream's melodic sensibilities and musicianship helped set them apart from their contemporaries. Still Screaming remains a landmark release in the history of American hardcore.
