Reagan Youth - Regenerated: A Collection Of Alternative Classics (LP)

Description:

Reagan Youth - Regenerated: A Collection Of Alternative Classics collects early, raw recordings from the legendary New York City anarcho-punk band. These versions date from 1981 through 1983 and capture Reagan Youth before the release of their classic Youth Anthems For The New Order, with a primitive, urgent sound rooted in the earliest years of New York hardcore.

The album includes early versions of favorites such as “Reagan Youth,” “Go Nowhere,” “New Aryans,” “U.S.A.,” “Acid Rain,” and “Degenerated,” along with an instrumental version of “One Holy Bible” and a live cover of Motörhead’s “Ace Of Spades.” The collection offers a raw snapshot of the band’s formative period and the politically charged sound that made Reagan Youth such an important part of the early NYHC scene.

A strong addition for fans of anarcho-punk, early New York hardcore, and archival punk recordings from the early 1980s.
