POISON IDEA – KINGS OF PUNK (LP)

POISON IDEA – KINGS OF PUNK (LP)

Description:

Poison Idea’s Kings of Punk, originally released in 1986, is a blistering hardcore punk landmark that captures the raw intensity of their Portland roots while injecting a sharper, more aggressive hard rock edge. This definitive full-length debut showcases a band pushing beyond the lo-fi ferocity of their early EPs into a more structured and muscular sound.

Tracks like "Lifestyles," "Ugly American," and "Death Wish Kids" stand out for their breakneck speed, guttural grit, and sneering attitude, underpinned by Pig Champion’s ferocious guitar riffs and Jerry A.’s snarling vocals. The album’s remastered 2024 pressing preserves the original fury while delivering improved sonic clarity that highlights the chaos and craft in equal measure.

A great addition for fans of Minor Threat, Agnostic Front, Sick of It All, Madball
