Operation Ivy - Energy (Tape)

Operation Ivy - Energy (Tape)

Description:

Operation Ivy - Energy is the legendary Berkeley ska-punk band’s defining full-length, blending the speed and urgency of hardcore punk with ska rhythms, sharp social commentary, and unforgettable singalong hooks. Originally released in 1989, the album became one of the most influential records in ska punk and East Bay punk.

This cassette edition celebrates the album’s 35th anniversary and features all 19 original tracks in remastered form. Songs such as “Knowledge,” “Sound System,” “Take Warning,” “Unity,” “Bad Town,” and “Freeze Up” helped establish the blueprint for generations of punk and ska bands that followed.

A must-have for fans of classic ska punk, East Bay punk, Gilman Street-era bands, and the roots of Rancid.
