Operation Ivy - Energy (CD)

Operation Ivy - Energy (CD)

Description:
Operation Ivy - Energy is the highly influential full-length from the legendary Bay Area ska-punk band, featuring Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman of Rancid, Jesse Michaels of Common Rider, and Dave Mello of Schlong. After years out of print, the album was remastered and reissued through Epitaph Records, bringing one of the foundational releases of ska punk back into circulation.

Blending fast punk rock, ska rhythms, sharp songwriting, and a raw DIY sound, Energy helped shape generations of bands that followed. The album includes essential Operation Ivy tracks such as “Knowledge,” “Sound System,” “Take Warning,” “Unity,” “Bad Town,” and “Freeze Up,” along with eight additional CD-only bonus tracks.

A must-have for fans of classic ska punk, East Bay punk, 924 Gilman Street-era bands, and the roots of Rancid.
