LAST STAND / NOONDAY UNDERGROUND – SCUM GUNS / INJUN JOE (EP)

Description:

This release captures the spirited energy of Boston’s Last Stand alongside their closely linked counterpart Noonday Underground. Originally issued as a split single in the mid-1980s on Taang! Records, the tracks “Scum Guns” and “Injun Joe” showcase the band’s raw punk force fused with sharp melodic drive. The sound is immediate and urgent, with twin-guitar interplay and catchy choruses typical of the era’s underground punk scene.

“Scum Guns” bursts forth with aggressive riffs and a punchy tempo, while “Injun Joe,” delivered by Noonday Underground (sharing much of Last Stand’s lineup), stands out for its anthemic vocal delivery and group chant energy. Both tracks are concise yet memorable, embracing a mid-tempo punk style that leaves a lasting impression.

A great addition for fans of Bad Religion, Descendents, Rancid, The Bouncing Souls, Pennywise, NOFX
