KONG KONG – Gorilla Anthems – Collection: 2020–2025 (LP)

KONG KONG – Gorilla Anthems – Collection: 2020–2025 (LP)

Description:

Kong Kong is a Swedish punk collective shrouded in gorilla-themed mystique, blending gritty Oi! energy with catchy Power Pop hooks. Released in autumn 2025 by TKO Records in North America (and Gorilla City Records in Europe), this compilation stitches together the best tracks from their prolific 2020–2025 EP run, plus exclusive LP-only tracks, capturing their raw, joyful chaos in one tight package.

Standout tracks like “Gorilla Skin” and “Down With Me” deliver visceral, stomping riffs paired with surprisingly melodic keyboard and female vocal flourishes. The contrast between snarling aggression and bright melodic lines is emblematic of Kong Kong’s unique approach, while tracks such as “Empire” and “I Don’t Live Up Well To Expectations” showcase concise songwriting and primate-fueled punch. Though the North American version includes “Like A Clock” as an LP-exclusive, the collection flows seamlessly as a cohesive listening experience.

A great addition for fans of Cock Sparrer, The Business, The 4-Skins, Sham 69
