Released in 1990 on Revelation Records, “No Spiritual Surrender” is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential hardcore releases of all time. Combining intelligent, introspective lyrics with an emotionally charged vocal performance from Zack de la Rocha, the EP pushed hardcore beyond anger and aggression into deeply personal territory. Though the band existed for only a short time, their impact was immense, and Zack would later go on to front Rage Against The Machine. No Spiritual Surrender remains an essential release in the Revelation Records catalog and a landmark of melodic hardcore.
