Originally released in 2001 on Epitaph Records, Covered With Ants is Guttermouth’s sixth studio album and their first for Epitaph. The record delivers the band’s trademark fast, sarcastic Southern California punk while expanding their sound with unexpected touches of banjo, fiddle, and organ.

Featuring “She’s Got the Look,” “Can I Borrow Some Ambition?,” and “I’m Destroying the World,” the album is packed with short, loud, irreverent punk songs. “I’m Destroying the World” also appeared in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, making it one of the band’s more recognizable tracks from this era.
