Originally released in 1983 as an expanded version of the band's debut Dirty Rotten EP, Dirty Rotten LP became one of the defining releases of early hardcore punk. Rather than issuing a traditional seven-inch, D.R.I. chose to release the material as a full-length 12-inch, packing an incredible 22 lightning-fast songs onto one record. Bursting with breakneck speed, sarcastic humor, and sharp social commentary, the album helped establish D.R.I. as pioneers of crossover and remains a cornerstone of hardcore punk history.
