Face To Face – Ignorance Is Bliss – CD
Released in 1999, Ignorance Is Bliss is Face To Face’s fourth studio album and one of the most distinctive records in their catalog. Rather than sticking strictly to the fast melodic punk of Big Choice and their self-titled album, the band explores a darker, more atmospheric sound with heavier guitars, slower tempos, and a stronger alternative-rock influence.
Songs like “Overcome,” “In Harm’s Way,” “Burden,” and “Maybe Next Time” still carry Trever Keith’s recognizable melodic songwriting, but the album shows a more introspective and experimental side of Face To Face.
Track Listing:
Essential for fans of Jawbreaker, Samiam, Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio, and Hüsker Dü, and anyone who enjoys melodic punk with a darker, more alternative edge.
