Originally released in 1991 through SST Records, Somery is a career-spanning Descendents compilation collecting material from the band’s classic early catalog. The collection pulls songs from the Fat EP along with Milo Goes To College, I Don’t Want To Grow Up, Enjoy!, and All, bringing together some of the most recognizable tracks from their influential ’80s output.

Across 28 tracks, Somery covers everything from ultra-short blasts like “I Like Food” and “Weinerschnitzel” to melodic punk staples including “Suburban Home,” “Bikeage,” “Hope,” “Clean Sheets,” and “I Don’t Want To Grow Up.” It’s an excellent introduction to the Descendents and a solid collection of the songs that helped lay the groundwork for generations of melodic punk and pop-punk bands.
