Bad Religion - Bad Religion (Public Service Comp Tracks 1981) (EP)

Description:

Bad Religion - Bad Religion (Public Service Comp Tracks 1981) collects the band’s earliest recordings from the formative years of the Southern California punk scene. These tracks were originally recorded in 1981 and appeared on the influential Public Service compilation, capturing Bad Religion before the band had fully developed the polished melodic hardcore sound that would define their later career.

The material is raw, fast, and stripped down, offering a snapshot of the band at the very beginning of its evolution. With Greg Graffin’s unmistakable vocals already in place, these early songs show the roots of the sharp songwriting, social commentary, and aggressive punk style that would later make Bad Religion one of the most important bands in American punk.

A strong addition for collectors of early Bad Religion, Southern California hardcore, archival punk recordings, and foundational West Coast punk releases.
