YOUTH OF TODAY – WE’RE NOT IN THIS ALONE (TAPE)

YOUTH OF TODAY – WE’RE NOT IN THIS ALONE (TAPE)

Description:

Youth of Today emerged from the mid-’80s New York straight-edge hardcore scene. We’re Not In This Alone, originally issued in 1988, finds the band charging forward with blistering tempos, precise riffs, and an unwavering ethos of positivity. The tape reissue provides a raw yet vibrant listening experience that captures the urgency and conviction of the original recordings.

Standout tracks include the explosive opener “Flame Still Burns,” which declares the band’s return with unbridled energy, and “No More,” a vehement, vegetarian-themed anthem that remains one of the group’s most enduring and influential songs. “Live Free” echoes the band’s earlier side-project roots and “Understand” offers a revisited version of a track from a prior compilation, both reinforcing the album’s tight core and lyrical focus. The production, though fast and lean, retains clarity and urgency throughout the tape’s brief runtime.

A great addition for fans of Minor Threat, Agnostic Front, Sick of It All, Gorilla Biscuits.
