Released in 1997 on Hopeless Records, Skankin' In The Pit is a 14-track compilation bringing together American and Japanese ska-punk bands from the mid-'90s third-wave ska explosion. The American side features scene favorites including Mustard Plug, Blue Meanies, Assorted Jellybeans, Slapstick, Falling Sickness, Against All Authority, and the Bruce Lee Band, while the second half showcases seven Japanese ska-punk bands.

Fast, energetic, and packed with horns, punk riffs, and ska rhythms, it's a great snapshot of the international ska-punk scene of the era.
