Various - Black On Black (A Tribute To Black Flag) (CD)

Description:

Black On Black (A Tribute To Black Flag) is a 2003 hardcore tribute compilation released by Initial Records, featuring nine bands covering songs originally recorded by Black Flag. The collection brings together hardcore, metalcore, and post-hardcore acts of the era, each putting their own heavier spin on classic Black Flag material.

The compilation includes American Nothing covering “Depression,” Anodyne taking on “Life of Pain,” Burnt By The Sun performing “Drinking and Driving,” Coalesce covering “Jealous Again,” Converge tackling “Annihilate This Week,” and The Dillinger Escape Plan performing “Damaged I & II.” The Hope Conspiracy, Planes Mistaken For Stars, and Playing Enemy round out the release with their own versions of Black Flag staples.

A strong addition for fans of Black Flag, hardcore punk, metalcore, and early-2000s underground hardcore compilations.
