Formed from the ashes of New York hardcore legends NYC Mayhem, Straight Ahead quickly became one of the most influential bands of the late 1980s youth crew era. Featuring Tommy Carroll and Craig Setari alongside Armand Majidi and future Helmet/Biohazard guitarist Rob Echeverria, the band combined blistering speed, positive hardcore energy, and unmistakable New York toughness. Though their existence was brief, Straight Ahead left a lasting mark on hardcore, and this collection gathers their essential recordings along with rare bonus material and live tracks.
