OFF! - First Four EPs (CD)

Description:

OFF! - First Four EPs collects the band’s first four EP releases into one 16-track blast of raw, old-school hardcore punk. Fronted by Keith Morris of Black Flag and Circle Jerks, OFF! channels the urgency and aggression of early Los Angeles hardcore with short, direct songs and a stripped-down sound. AllMusic

The lineup on the release features Keith Morris on vocals, Dimitri Coats on guitar, Steven McDonald of Redd Kross on bass, and Mario Rubalcaba on drums. Tracks such as “Black Thoughts,” “I Don’t Belong,” “Poison City,” “Jeffrey Lee Pierce,” and “Peace in Hermosa” make this a strong introduction to the band’s fast, abrasive style. AllMusic

A great addition for fans of classic hardcore punk, early Black Flag, Circle Jerks, and modern bands carrying the original Southern California hardcore sound forward.
