Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile (CD)

Description:

Nine Inch Nails’ The Fragile marks the group’s third studio album, released in September 1999. Conceived and largely performed by Trent Reznor during a period of personal struggle and creative reinvention, the album expands beyond their industrial roots into sweeping and detailed sonic landscapes recorded in New Orleans. The sound is expansive and deeply atmospheric, balancing ambient textures with moments of intense, guitar-driven catharsis.

This epic double album delivers standout tracks such as “The Day The World Went Away,” with its haunting crescendo and raw emotion, and “The Wretched,” which builds from subdued melody into crushing ferocity. Instrumental pieces like “La Mer” showcase Reznor’s experimental leanings with dreamlike piano and subtle percussive flourishes, while the brooding closer “Ripe (With Decay)” leaves a lingering sense of haunted beauty.

A great addition for fans of Foo Fighters, Failure, Helmet, Hum, Local H, Quicksand
