Hüsker Dü - Land Speed Record (CD)

Description:

Hüsker Dü - Land Speed Record is the Minneapolis trio’s explosive 1981 debut, recorded live and released through New Alliance before later being reissued by SST Records. The album captures the band in its earliest hardcore form, tearing through 17 songs in roughly 26 minutes with almost no downtime between tracks.

Raw, fast, and chaotic, Land Speed Record documents Hüsker Dü before the more melodic and experimental direction of later albums such as Zen Arcade and New Day Rising. Tracks including “All Tensed Up,” “Guns at My School,” “Bricklayer,” “Do the Bee,” and “Data Control” showcase the relentless speed and abrasive sound that made the band a major force in early American hardcore.

A great addition for fans of early hardcore punk, SST Records, American underground music, and the formative years of Hüsker Dü.
