GORILLA BISCUITS - START TODAY (TAPE)

GORILLA BISCUITS - START TODAY (TAPE)

Description:

Gorilla Biscuits, a defining force in New York’s straight-edge hardcore scene, released their debut studio album *Start Today* in 1989 through Revelation Records. The record showcases the band's signature blend of fast-paced energy, melodic urgency, and impassioned, thoughtful lyrics capturing a moment when hardcore punk was evolving in both sound and spirit.

Standout tracks like “New Direction,” “Start Today,” and “Cats And Dogs” highlight the album’s emotional intensity and tight, riff-driven songwriting. The opening track’s unexpected horn flourish soon gives way to relentless rhythm, while “Start Today” balances speed with melodic hooks. The raw urgency and sincerity throughout the album make it a landmark release in hardcore punk.

A great addition for fans of Bad Religion, Descendents, Rancid, Pennywise, Bouncing Souls, NOFX.
