DRAIN - California Cursed (Tape)

DRAIN - California Cursed (Tape)

Description:

Drain’s debut full‑length California Cursed emerged in April 2020 as a ferocious yet polished fusion of crossover thrash and hardcore punk, delivered with the high‑energy intensity of Santa Cruz’s DIY scene. The band channels the aggressive pulse of New York street hardcore while infusing it with slashing, metal‑tinged riffing that evokes ’80s thrash with a California edge.

Standout tracks include the explosive opener “Feel The Pressure,” which kicks off with ocean samples before launching into thrash-driven chaos, and “Hyper Vigilance,” featuring pummeling riffs and dynamic tempo shifts that exemplify the record’s moshable brutality. The sneering brevity of “Sick One” and the anthemic punch of the title track round out a set that’s tight, intense, and built for live impact.

A great addition for fans of Minor Threat, Agnostic Front, Sick of It All, Madball, Gorilla Biscuits, Terror
