Released in 2022, A Brief Moment In The Sun marks the long-awaited return of Washington, D.C. post-hardcore veterans Soulside with their first full-length album in more than three decades. After reforming in 2014 and releasing the This Ship EP in 2020, the band channeled the uncertainty and isolation of the pandemic into twelve powerful new songs. Recorded by J. Robbins in late 2021, the album blends the melodic urgency, angular guitar work, and thoughtful songwriting that made Soulside a cornerstone of the original D.C. underground while proving their creative spark remains as strong as ever.
