Dead Kennedys – Live At The Deaf Club

Live At The Deaf Club captures Dead Kennedys performing at San Francisco’s legendary Deaf Club on March 3, 1979, during the formative days of the Bay Area punk scene. The recording documents the band’s entire set from that night, when Dead Kennedys were still performing as a five-piece with guitarist 6025 alongside East Bay Ray.

This early performance features raw versions of Dead Kennedys classics including “California Über Alles,” “Holiday In Cambodia,” “Police Truck,” “Forward To Death,” and “Kill The Poor.” The set also contains the previously unreleased “Gaslight,” an early version of “When Ya Get Drafted” titled “Back In Rhodesia,” plus covers of “Back In The U.S.S.R.” and “Viva Las Vegas.”

An essential live document of Dead Kennedys before their debut album and a snapshot of the late-'70s San Francisco punk underground.
