Bold – The Search: 1985–1989 – CD

The Search: 1985–1989 brings together the complete early output of New York hardcore band Bold, documenting their progression from the youthful intensity of Crippled Youth through their influential work as Bold. The collection traces the band from the Join The Fight EP through the landmark Speak Out material and into their later Looking Back recordings.

Drawing inspiration from bands like Bad Brains, Minor Threat, and Youth Of Today, Bold became an important part of the late-’80s straight edge and youth crew hardcore scene. Across 32 tracks, this collection shows the band developing both musically and lyrically while retaining the energy, conviction, and positive message at the heart of their sound.
