Originally released in 1995 on the Beastie Boys' Grand Royal label, Aglio E Olio is a blistering return to the band's hardcore punk roots. Clocking in at just over 11 minutes, the EP delivers a furious burst of fast, aggressive songs that pay tribute to the New York hardcore scene that inspired the group's earliest days. Featuring drummer Amery "AWOL" Smith of Suicidal Tendencies, Aglio E Olio captures the Beastie Boys having fun while proving they never lost their passion for loud, fast punk rock. The EP closes with a high-energy cover of The Doors' classic "Light My Fire."
