Bad Brains - Bad Brains (CD)

Description:

Bad Brains - Bad Brains is the legendary Washington, D.C. band’s self-titled debut album, originally released in 1982 on ROIR. Often referred to as the “Yellow Tape,” the album is one of the most important and influential releases in American hardcore punk, combining blistering speed and aggression with the band’s deep reggae and dub influences.

The album features essential Bad Brains tracks such as “Sailin’ On,” “Attitude,” “Banned In D.C.,” “Big Takeover,” “Pay To Cum,” and “Right Brigade,” alongside reggae cuts including “Jah Calling,” “Leaving Babylon,” and “I Luv I Jah.” The contrast between frantic hardcore and laid-back reggae helped establish a sound that influenced generations of punk, hardcore, ska, and alternative bands.

A must-have for fans of classic hardcore punk, Washington D.C. punk, reggae-influenced hardcore, and one of the most influential bands in underground music.
