The record was a particularly hands-on release for the band, marking the first time the members recorded, mixed, and produced an album entirely themselves. It delivers the technical, fast-paced melodic punk and offbeat songwriting that helped distinguish ALL from their Descendents roots. “Simple Things” also became the band's first song to receive a music video.
