Alkaline Trio – My Shame Is True – CD
Released in 2013, My Shame Is True is Alkaline Trio’s eighth studio album. The record leans heavily into the band’s trademark combination of dark melodic punk, heartbreak, regret, and sharp hooks, with much of the material inspired by the aftermath of a relationship. Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano trade vocals throughout, giving the album a strong mix of aggressive punk tracks and more emotionally driven songwriting.
Featuring “I Wanna Be a Warhol,” “The Temptation of St. Anthony,” “She Lied to the FBI,” and “I, Pessimist,” which features guest vocals from Rise Against’s Tim McIlrath, My Shame Is True delivers a polished but unmistakably Alkaline Trio sound.
Track Listing:
Essential for fans of The Lawrence Arms, Hot Water Music, Jawbreaker, The Bouncing Souls, and Smoking Popes, and anyone into dark, melodic punk with emotionally charged songwriting.
