Released in 2000 on Asian Man Records, Alkaline Trio is a collection of early material that brings together songs from the band’s For Your Lungs Only and I Lied My Face Off EPs, their first 7-inch, and various compilation appearances. It captures the darker, rawer side of early Alkaline Trio, with Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano combining melodic punk with bleak lyrics, catchy hooks, and the heart-on-sleeve songwriting that became the band’s signature.
