Released in 2007, New Wave is Against Me!’s fourth studio album and their major-label debut for Sire Records. Produced by Butch Vig, the album gives the band a bigger, more polished sound while retaining the urgent punk energy, anthemic choruses, and politically and personally charged songwriting of their earlier releases.

The album includes “Thrash Unreal,” “White People for Peace,” “Stop!,” and “Borne on the FM Waves of the Heart,” which features guest vocals from Tegan Quin of Tegan and Sara.
